For its 5th edition, Black and Proud calls for unity, solidarity, and collective awareness. It is an invitation to celebrate the richness of Black cultures while shedding light on the persistent challenges faced by many Black communities around the world. Together, in all our diversity, let us rise to deconstruct stereotypes, break silences, and amplify voices too often ignored. More than a celebration, this is an act of commitment: to educate, raise awareness, and take action toward a more equitable and inclusive future.

Black and Proud is an exhibition of photographs and visual artworks conceived and directed by Wilgis Agossa, the artistic director of Black and Proud. Through a strong and engaged artistic approach, the exhibition aims to highlight Afro-descendant people, their stories, their heritage, and their diverse identities.

This year, Black and Proud places Afro-descendant youth at the center, showcasing voices that speak with clarity, courage, and creativity about issues surrounding Black history. The works on display explore memory, silences, and past and present struggles, while also affirming a vision focused on the future.
