The Théâtre Cercle Molière Presents… 100 Years of History to Discover

On the occasion of its centennial, the Théâtre Cercle Molière has partnered with the Société historique de Saint-Boniface and the Centre culturel franco-manitobain to offer the public a unique exhibition, specially designed to celebrate a century of francophone theatre in Manitoba.

Step behind the scenes of the theatre and explore a hundred years of creativity. Iconic posters, set and costume sketches, photographs, and rare archival documents from the TCM collection offer a unique insight into the history and artistic life of the Théâtre Cercle Molière.

Beyond a simple retrospective, “The Théâtre Cercle Molière Presents…” celebrates the essential role of theatre in shaping and sustaining the Franco-Manitoban community. From the passion of its pioneers to contemporary creativity, each stage illustrates how TCM has left—and continues to leave—a lasting mark on Manitoba’s cultural life.

The SHSB and TCM warmly thank Canadian Heritage and the Government of Manitoba for their financial support in bringing this exhibition to life.

The exhibition was designed by Annie Langlois, with the support of Thomas Bres.
