Cet été qui chantait

‍SYNOPSIS

A raven, carried by the breeze, flies over the mountains, the valley andfinally the river. Follow him visually: he will guide you to the little housewith green shutters, right at the end of the road to Petite-Rivière-Saint-François. There, you find Gabrielle observing, with her shiny eyes, all thelife in this part of the country: the little hay straw dancing in the wind; theflowers mushrooming on a manure pile; the white and black birds huggingthe shoals crying at low tide; the fireflies whispering at nightfall.Inspired by the eponymous book by Gabrielle Roy, Cet été qui chantait isa show which is all images and gentleness. Marie-Ève Fontaine recreatesthe profoundly poetic universe of the Franco-Manitoban author in apuppet theatre and invites you to engage in a sensory journey that willplease both young and old.
