Emily Solstice Tait and Eric Plamondon

“The Theatre is known to be a space for performance and creation; a space to explore the human condition. The yellow, orange, and red codes have, one by one, imposed restrictions which have distanced artists from their audience and diminished the outreach of art. In response, TCM harnessed its tools and made them available to artists, and by extension to the community. The results were projects like Moi seul·e /my-self, a collaborative video created safely with a lot of support; including a platform on which the project could live and give voice to what we are living through during this pandemic. We are very grateful to TCM for investing in us, Manitoban artists, and for blowing wind into the sails of artistic expression.”

Amara Conde

“The announcement that the pandemic would be prolonged shocked performance artists. I did not know what to do. Thankfully, TCM was quick to rescue me with a private and safe rehearsal space as well as a paying contract to cover the production of my Wonghê toûn video project. Thank-you TCM, really, for being there just when I needed help.”

“In the fall of 2020, we wanted to provide people some reprieve in the form of an online comedy performance. Geneviève and her team immediately understood the relevance of our project Jacinthe and it is their boost that put the wind in our sails. In total, more than 750 people logged on to laugh with Jacinthe! That is the mark of a theatre that listens to artists and is in tune with the needs of its community.”

Put your company in the spotlight!
Corporations that sponsor a TCM performance or event receive significant exposure by partnering with a company that continues to grow its audience and contribute to the cultural and economic vitality of the Manitoba community.
