Thank-you to eveyone who participated in this draw to support Théâtre Cercle Molière’ 100th anniversary project. The final amount ammassed was $2,025. Congratulations to the winner Réjean Labrie who earned the sum of $1,012,50 !

The 100th anniversary celebrations aim to ensure the future of TCM while highlighting our remarkable past and present. The activities planned will serve to expand our audiences while solidifying their sense of belonging, to fortify our endowment fund and to enhance our involvement and innovation on national and international stages.

Until November 30th, we have the chance to boost our endowment fund at Francofonds, which is an essential tool in ensuring the longevity of TCM. The Federal government will match every dollar that is donated by you.

“The Theatre is known to be a space for performance and creation; a space to explore the human condition. The yellow, orange, and red codes have, one by one, imposed restrictions which have distanced artists from their audience and diminished the outreach of art. In response, TCM harnessed its tools and made them available to artists, and by extension to the community. The results were projects like Moi seul·e /my-self, a collaborative video created safely with a lot of support; including a platform on which the project could live and give voice to what we are living through during this pandemic. We are very grateful to TCM for investing in us, Manitoban artists, and for blowing wind into the sails of artistic expression.”

Thankfully, TCM was quick to rescue me with a private and safe rehearsal space as well as a paying contract to cover the production of my Wonghê toûn video project. Geneviève and her team immediately understood the relevance of our project Jacinthe and it is their boost that put the wind in our sails.
