From Nunavut to Tofino and across Canada, 13 young womxn are challenged to re-invent our future and tell their story through divinatory dreamlike, poetic and political performances. Filmed with a drone that embraces both the vastness of the territory and the intimate performances, these contemporary teenage oracles place themselves at “zero degrees” from the World to create the genesis of a future that has yet to be seen.
Under the impulse of Théâtre Cercle Molière, choreographer and director Alix Dufresne partners with the creative mind of Geneviève Pelletier and 11 other Canadian theatres to create this video capsule series. Degré zéro shatters our traditional narrative models and enables us to dream in spite of the distance between us.
